The Optical Excellence Application and Research Center is a key research and development hub dedicated to supporting Türkiye's medium-scale industrial projects and local development objectives. Established under the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s Attraction Centers Support Program, the center operates within the framework of projects supported by the Central Anatolia Development Agency, the Sivas Small and Medium-Scale Industry Establishment and Support Foundation, and the Presidency of Strategy and Budget. The center plays a significant role in promoting regional development and carries the mission of contributing to the national economy through domestic and indigenous production in optical and optoelectronic technologies.
Technological Infrastructure and Capabilities
Equipped with a cutting-edge technological infrastructure, the center supports advanced design, manufacturing, and testing processes required by a wide range of optical applications. It carries out multidisciplinary projects that integrate core engineering fields such as optical design, opto-mechanical design, and opto-electronic design. To enhance the performance and durability of optical components, advanced coating techniques such as thin-film coatings and hard carbon (DLC) coatings are employed.
